iI started my first business over 20 years and turned that company into an established business I still run today. I own 2 children's performing arts academies in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Because this business is only open after school and weekends, and I wanted to be a mom. I had to figure out how to get the business to run without me.
And I did it, but it wasn't easy - especially in the beginning.

I was the girl answering the phone ON HER WEDDING DAY to make sure someone could register for a dance class.
But not any more!
It took a while, but I eventually learned a better way.
My story isn't common for small business owners, which is why it's been featured all over and it helped me win the Wisconsin Small Business Person of the Year.
